UNLOCK YOUR DREAMS : ARTIST STATEMENT
I believe Pablo Picasso’s words, “Everything you can imagine is real.” Unlock Your Dreams is more than just having the dream, it is about creating it into reality. When opportunities are not available to someone because of gender, race and/or background, this should not stop us. This should ignite us to create our own doors and build our own path of opportunity. The key to manifesting a dream is by daily actions, showing up and creating: this idea is the theme for my collection of artwork that will exhibit at W Los Angeles - West Beverly Hills.
Unlock Your Dreams is a fine balance between commercial and conceptual art that merges art and hospitality together. ‘Dream Portal’ my large-scale physical sculpture at the front entrance welcomes you to enter a digital augmented mixed reality. I enjoy this blending of worlds - from physical art to digital art and desire to push the boundaries on what art is and how it is experienced.
This body of artwork is fun and on the surface Unlock Your Dreams is a straightforward theme at a beautiful hotel with multiple doors to rooms. However, by the end of your stay, my hope is that you are inspired by my art to Unlock Your OWN Dreams.
